I have literally grown up within these walls, evolving from a child selling lemonade to a full-time leader at the shop. Outside of work, my life revolves around my husband, Jason, and our four active children. My identity is deeply rooted in this store, our community, and my family. My greatest joy here is the genuine bond I share with our customers—over time, you have become so much more than patrons; you are truly an extension of my own family and dear friends.
Cortney
Interior design has been my lifelong passion. As Yesterday's Tree’s lead designer, I use my background in textiles and international fashion merchandising to create homes that reflect each client’s unique story, using color, texture, scale, and function. My style is inspired by fashion, textiles, architecture, luxury handbags, and the history I discover in my travels.
Breanne
I have been in the industry for 15 years and absolutely love everything "home." In the end, it gives me immense joy to hear stories and see photos of my clients enjoying their new furnishings. Knowing I played a part in making their house feel like home is truly wonderful.
Maggie
Having been raised right here in the North Carolina mountains, I eventually headed to NYC to obtain my Master's in Design from Pratt Institute. I have spent the years since 2020 creating bespoke interiors for clients across the Highlands and Cashiers region, a joy I now bring home to Asheville.

Originally from McLean, Virginia, my deep North Carolina roots and interest in furnishings guided me to Asheville post-college, where I initially taught business at TC Roberson. From there, I transitioned into entrepreneurship by launching an unfinished furniture shop that has since evolved into our comprehensive home design destination. Seeing our growth alongside such a dedicated team and loyal local patrons fills me with pride as we continue our family-owned mission.

My journey in home decor spans three decades, beginning at fifteen while delivering couches and transitioning to a full career in my twenties. I have found true fulfillment specializing in window silhouettes here at Yesterday’s Tree. Collaborating with such a gifted team is an honor every single day. I am deeply thankful for our clients’ loyalty; to me, you are all extended family. With your incredible support, I look forward to perfecting your spaces for at least another forty years.
